SureFly develops, manufactures, sells and supports SureFly brand piston aircraft engine electronic ignition systems (EIS) branded as SureFly Ignition Modules (SIMs) and is based in Granbury, Texas.

The company was formed in March of 2015 by eight business partners all previously closely associated with industry-leading Sky-Tec starters and Plane-Power alternators.  The company sold its first EIS (pre-certification experimental) unit in August of 2016 and received its first FAA certification (engine STC) in October of 2018. The first airframe STC quickly followed in February of 2019.

To date, more than 10,000 SureFly SIMs are in-service and flying world-wide.
