I had dual impulse couplings, and my left mag failed, so I put mine on the
left side. I connected the manifold pressure line to take advantage of the
timing advance. I would agree with everything that has been reported, easier
starts, smoother running, lower fuel consumption, and actually runs reasonably
smoothly lean of peak, lowering fuel burn even more.
This is an O320 in an AA1-C. I powered back to about 105 KIAS, leaned
aggressively and got down to 3.7 GPH, which yields substantially better MPG
than the stock O235. Of course, that was just out of curiosity, I burn the gas
and pass Tigers in the real world.
